How employer group billing works

For an established employer group, a monthly list bill is sent directly to the business for employees who are enrolled. The company pays that list bill as part of its selected contribution approach.

The direct answer

Once a group is established, the HealthShare business team prepares a list bill for enrolled employees. The bill goes to the employer, and the employer pays it. Your organization can decide whether it will contribute fully, contribute partially, or structure the group so employees assume their own monthly contributions.

What the billing process looks like

  1. Talk with Eric about your team and your preferred contribution approach.
  2. Eric introduces the business to the HealthShare business team for group setup and enrollment coordination.
  3. The business receives a monthly list bill for enrolled employees and pays it according to the arrangement discussed.

What this does not mean

A list bill is an administrative billing method for group membership. It does not turn HealthShare membership into an insurance policy, and it does not guarantee payment of any medical expense.

Important: HealthShare is not insurance. Members share eligible medical expenses, and membership does not guarantee payment of medical expenses.
